Post Pregnancy Weight Loss - Finding the Right Mindset
It has been an exciting nine months of your life, eating without restrictions, sleeping without any problems and of course minimal exercising on your end. Now that your baby is here, you are so excited, full of joy, but you are also wondering about your post pregnancy weight loss. While it did take you nine months to gain the added weight, you are wondering how in the world you will accomplish losing the pregnancy weight with a new baby.
You are lacking sleep because you have to be up with your new bundle of joy, your energy level is not at its highest, and you are flat out discouraged about getting that shape that you desire. First and foremost, you should know and really let it soak in your mind that you did not just gain that weight overnight. It took you nine months of eating so that your baby attained all of the nutrients he or she needed before they came into this world.
Furthermore, before moving forward with anything you cannot be so hard on yourself and say that you are not losing the weight fast enough or whatever negative thought that is running through your mind regarding your weight loss system.
Here are a couple of things that you should do immediately to start to increase the weight loss process.
Write Down Your Goals
Like many people say these days, write down your goals. If you cannot see it on paper how are you going to remember? Take the time out to write down some realistic, attainable goals that you can commit to doing. Examples of those can be things like walking for 30 minutes everyday, skipping desert and opting for fruit when you get the "sweet tooth", or even cooking less red meats and adding more protein to your diet. All of these things are simple changes that you can make to create a better lifestyle for yourself. Now that you have a new baby in your life, you will want to stay healthy not just for yourself, but for the baby as well.
Breastfeeding
Yes, one of the most simple, yet powerful ways of getting starting with your post pregnancy weight loss plan. Breastfeeding is strictly recommended by many doctors, nurses, and other moms in the world because it is so important for your child. Breast milk is equipped with all of the nutrients and antibodies that your baby will need and it increases their health level. While it is doing all of this for your child, breastfeeding is also working on your behalf. Your body burns calories when you are breastfeeding, which in turn losing calories means losing weight. While you may not lose all of the pregnancy weight, it definitely helps out.
Post pregnancy weight loss no longer has to be that hard for you especially if you change your mindset, visualize your goals, and start of with breastfeeding. Remember to take your time when getting back to doing physical activities. You should make sure that you have properly healed and then once you are, you should start changing some things little by little.

Weight Loss - Rapid Vs Slow and Steady
Weight loss - there's not one of us who enjoys it. When it comes to achieving our weight loss goals, most of us would love to able to achieve it quickly. In fact, it probably doesn't matter what kind of goals we have - we'd just like to get there fast. The sooner the better and that especially pertains to losing weight!
Just think how it would feel if you had a few more pounds to lose and you could just wake up in a couple of weeks and have that figure that you're striving for. Is that possible? It definitely is!
Rapid weight loss occurs when you follow a crash diet, one of those diets where you drastically reduce your calorie intake so your body is forced to burn fat very quickly to compensate for the deficit. This is not the healthiest course to follow but if you need to lose weight quickly for a special event like a wedding, then it is a short term fix.
The problem with crash diets is that your body will eventually get used to the decrease in calorie consumption and will burn less and less fat as time goes on. In fact, you'll actually reach a point where your process of losing weight plateaus and you stop losing all fat.
Limiting your calories when you're on these types of diets means that you're also limiting the essential nutrients that you take in. This is detrimental to your health and something that you don't want to expose your body to for any length of time. And to top it off, once you start to eat normally again, you'll start to gain weight back so everything that you lost will just be temporary.
Steady weight loss, on the other hand, in not as exciting or instantly satisfying like rapid loss, in fact it can be a little bit frustrating sometimes. It can be disappointing to step on the scale and see that you've lost just a pound or two after a long week of dieting and exercising.
Slow and steady loss involves slowly cutting back on your food, a little bit at a time, just enough to create a small calorie deficit while combining the proper exercise routine. What's so good about his method is the fact that you're not doing anything drastically so your body doesn't need to react to the calorie deficit the same way that it does with the shock of a crash diet.
Since you're cutting back on your food in a slow manner, chances are that you're going to get used to the amount of food very easily and you'll be less likely to revert back to your old eating habits. You'll also be eating a significantly greater amount of food than you would on that crash diet, resulting in your body receiving the right amount of essential nutrients.
So which diet is better when it comes to weight loss? Rapid or slow and steady? It all really depends on your goals and your intentions. If you want to lose weight rapidly just for a specific event then go ahead and give the crash diet a whirl. When you're ready to make losing weight a serious and lifetime way of life then take it slow and steady.
Weight loss is a wonderful and fulfilling experience that will change your life. Choosing a weight loss program is an exciting and necessary step that you should be proud of. Boot Camps for Weight Loss - Fitness Phenomenon or Overrated?
People are always on the lookout for new and exciting exercises to lose weight fast. Clearly, the prospect of a typical morning jog or walk is not the most exciting idea for most people. And unless you are excited about a certain exercise and look forward to it, you won't be able to find the initiative to incorporate it into your lifestyle.
Consequently, there are a lot of new weight loss workouts being advertised in the market. One of them is the idea of military style boot camps for weight loss. This is a trend that is catching on fast in the UK and the US, especially amongst people who treat exercise as a challenge. Here is an analysis of the pros and cons of this new weight loss phenomenon.
A Fun Way To Lose Weight
Weight loss boot camps are adapted from the concept of military training regimes. However, this needn't frighten you away. A boot camp is actually a lot of fun, since it brings together people of diverse backgrounds and fitness levels in an interactive and friendly team set-up. The physical challenge is always there, but so are exciting games, some good food and the prospect of engaging social interaction. You will make friends with like-minded people, and end up helping each other push beyond your boundaries.
Flexible and Good for Everyone
The instructors are trained fitness experts, who adapt each person's workload according to their own fitness levels, capacity and objectives. Furthermore, with most fitness companies, you will also be able to choose from a range of packages, starting from a regular early morning boot camp session to weekend boot camp outings and even boot camp vacations. There is hardly any other weight loss exercise-system that offers such a unique combination of a group atmosphere and flexibility to individual needs and capacities.
The Benefits
The workouts involve a combination of cardiovascular and muscle strengthening exercises, disguised as fun tasks with specific goals to achieve. During a weight loss boot camp-session, you will give your entire body a serious workout, burn a truckload of calories and strengthen muscles you may not have used in a long time.
A lot of people have reportedly lost 5-9 lbs during a 7-day boot camp session, and considering the all-out emphasize on healthy eating and exercise, these claims don't seem exaggerated! The best part is that boot camps are adaptable to every level of fitness and age group, so no one will feel left out. However, there are some potential downsides to consider as well.
Possible Drawbacks
To begin with, the fact is that a weight loss boot camp is very intensive. As such, it may not suit people who have been sedentary for very long and want to ease into a fitness routine. It can even appear quite intimidating to people not used to exercise.
Additionally, one mustn't forget that most weight loss boot camps are extremely short-term programs. Even if you manage to lose a lot of weight, you will gradually put on all that weight, if you slip back into your old habits after the camp. Make sure you heed the exercise and diet tips that your boot camp instructor gives you, and make sustainable lifestyle changes even after the camp is over.
The final verdict is that weight loss boot camps are extremely effective and a lot of fun, while they last. However, for sustainable weight loss and good health, you will need to find a way to continue with your good habits even after the camp is over.

Powerful, Positive Law of Attraction - Weight Loss Affirmations
I have a radical approach in regard to WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS that reflect my specific, focused plan that promotes weight loss without saying anything about weight loss or diets! I've stated my case in a previous article (id#1417068), and now I will expand on the those ideas as well as suggesting other effective WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS.
Effective WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS must reflect powerful thinking paths aligned with Law of Attraction principles. The Law of Attraction stresses the creative power of thought; the direction of your thinking creates the reality you experience.
The overwhelming majority of weight loss plans either don't work or can't be maintained because the wrong ideas are in the plans and the affirmations. WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS should:
Be totally positive
Have not a word about weight loss in them
Reflect reality and not fantasy
Focus on a greater, more powerful goal than weight loss
Since like attracts like according to the Law of Attraction, WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS must be totally positive, having words that reflect an exciting, motivating vision. The concept of weight loss is fraught with powerful negative feelings and memories, guilt, frustration and the like.
That is why affirmations for weight loss must not have a word about weight loss! Remember, like attracts like. If "weight loss" is on your mind all the time, the word and emotional power of "weight" is dominating your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind, and especially in areas like weight, will have powerful emotional associations that direct your behavior much more than you realize.
That is why my primary affirmation focused on Vibrant Health. That concept is a far more positive, powerfully motivating goal than anything about weight loss. Those words literally charged me with motivation and excitement. Since my behavior was reflecting that goal, my affirmation reflected reality and was not some absurd fantasy about being "thin inside" or other weak, ineffective, if not foolish ideas.
Here are some other WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS that are aligned with powerful Law of Attraction thinking and reflect the concepts listed above:
I'm in the process of developing an attractive body.
I'm developing a lifestyle of vibrant health.
I'm creating a body that I like and enjoy.
My lifestyle eating changes are changing my body.
Weight Loss isn't what you want - AN ATTRACTIVE BODY THAT YOU LIKE AND ENJOY is what you want! Of course, you must have a plan that creates weight loss, but that overarching goal, that powerfully motivating vision is what you want to see in the mirror!
As I stated in my previous article, affirmations like this place the powerful, motivating, exciting goals in the forefront and put weight loss secondary. Believe me, I certainly thought about weight loss often in the process of losing 30lbs, but the constant "song" that my spirit sang was all about Vibrant Health.
If you were to do a web search about weight loss affirmations you will find quite a few focused on what is not wanted, instead of what is wanted. Some will use terms like "releasing" in regard to things you don't want. I believe in "casting out darkness" with light.
You may use the word "release" in regard to things you don't want, but your subconscious mind "hears" what you don't want loud and clear! Focus on what you want! What is it that you really want?
I believe what you want is to be happy about how you look and feel; it's as simple as that. Focus on what you really want. Weight loss is only a path toward a goal and vision of what you see and feel about yourself.
Yes, you must have a well thought through path and approach, but the thoughts that begin in that powerful mind of yours that can create a new life need to have an exciting and motivating goal. Your spirit needs to be inflamed with a vision of what your mind is creating. Let any WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS that you develop reflect what you truly desire, inspire your heart and then focus your mind on that wonderful vision of yourself.

Weight Loss For Busy Moms: How A Pre-Flight Safety Demonstration Endorses Weight Loss For Moms
Busy moms often struggle with their weight. Moms, by nature, are selfless and put the needs of kids and spouse ahead of their own and this habit can promote weight gain over time. This article will reveal the effects and remedy for weight loss for busy moms.
Mom's need to learn a lesson from Flight Safety. If you have ever flown in a commercial plane you have sat through the safety orientation. In addition to where the doors are and the fact that you seat is a flotation device, you get instructions about that little oxygen mask that drops down in front of you if things really start to go south. Remember what that warning is? It goes something like this:
"Put your mask on first, stupid, because if you pass out while you are trying to put masks on your kids you won't do anybody any good."
OK...I'm paraphrasing, but you get it, right? Being a martyr is a wasted gesture if in the process of martyring yourself you jeopardize those you martyred yourself for in the first place.
Moms are hardwired to take care of the kids first and this often means they ignore their own needs until last. When it comes to weight loss for busy moms this is the worst of habits.
I've written plenty of articles about metabolism and the importance of eating early and often. Busy moms often find themselves skipping breakfast and not eating until late in the morning or early afternoon. They often snack on the same foods they are feeding their kids, which are not be the best choice for them either (or the kids...but that's another article for another time).
Busy moms will get the most out of motherhood when they take care of themselves from the beginning. When they pay attention to their own needs young mothers will be healthier and more active as they approach middle age and the realm of grand-parenthood.
I speak from experience. My own mother had all the classic bad habits. My mother was a single parent without support for much of my youth. She tended lovingly and dutifully to my sister and me along with working a full-time job and the occasional part-time stint without paying attention to her own eating habits.
Putting her own nutritional needs last brought on obesity, which greatly compromised her health in middle age. By the time grandkids started coming she was very limited in mobility and spent the last decade of her life fighting serious chronic illness from a wheelchair and she died way too young. Every health challenge she endured, including Type II Diabetes and breast cancer, are linked to obesity. Her case was extreme, but it's a good illustration of how important it is to paying attention early on.
Busy moms can avoid this trap with commitment to healthy nutrition. When mom eats right it has the added benefit of setting a good example for the kids as well.
Since the challenge of a busy mom is time, diet shakes, or more accurately meal replacement shakes, are a very convenient form of getting complete nutrition that supports weight loss goals of busy moms. Shakes can also be a great way to round out the nutrition needs of the kids.
Busy moms need to eat a healthy meal, whether it's a shake or something else, first thing in the morning and then regular meals and snacks throughout the day. Caloric intake is determined by your personal needs. Eating too few calories has the same metabolism-slowing effect as delaying and skipping meals and can lead to bingeing.
Minimum calorie intake recommendations are 1200 calories a day for women. You personal needs may vary depending on your current size and activity level.
